Before You Ride
We list out important safety checks and precautions that every rider should review before operating a SPLACH e-scooter or e-bike. Please read the information below carefully and watch the instructional videos provided when applicable. Proper inspection, maintenance, and safe riding practices can help reduce the risk of accidents, injuries, and unnecessary damage.
- Record and Keep Your Serial Number
Before your first ride, please record your e-scooter’s serial number. We highly recommend photographing it or keeping a written record. The serial number is essential for warranty and service-related issues. SPLACH does not maintain ownership records for individual scooters, so your own record may be needed if your e-scooter is lost or stolen, and may also help with any police investigation or insurance claim. - We Strongly Recommend Purchasing E-Scooter Insurance
To better protect your investment, we highly suggest obtaining appropriate insurance coverage for your e-scooter. Depending on your plan, insurance may help cover situations such as theft or loss, damage caused by accidents, collisions, or falls, as well as other unexpected incidents. Having proper insurance provides peace of mind and may offer reasonable compensation should anything unfortunate occur. - Wear Appropriate Protective Equipment
Riders are responsible for their own safety. SPLACH strongly recommends wearing a properly fitted helmet whenever riding. Depending on riding conditions, knee pads, elbow pads, gloves, reflective clothing, and other protective equipment may also help reduce the risk of injury.
Failure to use appropriate protective equipment may increase the risk of serious injury in the event of a fall, collision, loss of control, or other accident. - Perform a Safety Check Before Every Ride
Every SPLACH e-scooter undergoes quality control inspection before leaving the factory. However, riders are responsible for checking the scooter’s condition upon arrival and before each ride.
Please inspect the following items before riding:
• Brakes and brake response
• Tires and tire pressure
• Folding mechanism and locking system
• Stem and handlebar assembly
• Lights and reflectors
• Wheel assemblies and axles
• Suspension components (if equipped)
• Any visible signs of looseness, cracking, corrosion, deformation, or abnormal wear
If you notice brake failure, abnormal noises, loose components, cracking, unusual movement, or anything that may affect safe riding, stop using the scooter immediately and contact us for assistance.
Riding with known mechanical issues may lead to injury, property damage, or further component failure. - Inspect the Scooter After Any Impact or Accident
If your scooter experiences a collision, crash, fall, curb strike, pothole impact, or any other significant impact event, we strongly recommend inspecting the scooter before continuing to ride.
Particular attention should be paid to the stem, folding mechanism, frame, handlebar assembly, wheel assemblies, and braking system, as hidden damage may not always be immediately visible. - Practice Safe Riding
Riding behavior and road conditions have a direct impact on safety. Please always maintain a controlled speed, particularly when riding downhill, as excessive speed can easily lead to loss of control or falls.
Uneven roads, potholes, bumps, wet surfaces, loose gravel, and unexpected obstacles may create sudden instability. Improper riding behaviors such as hard braking, aggressive turning, stunt riding, jumping, racing, distracted riding, or exceeding the product's rated weight limit can significantly increase the risk of accidents.
Always comply with local laws and regulations applicable to e-scooters and e-bikes.
Any injuries, losses, or damages resulting from rider behavior, road conditions, improper operation, failure to inspect the product, or failure to follow safety instructions are the rider’s responsibility.
Your safety matters to us, and riding responsibly is the best way to ensure a safe and enjoyable riding experience.

Here we’d like to offer kind reminders of some instructions before you ride the TWIN:
Before using the scooter, please take a pic of the serial# on the underside of the deck and keep the carton within the warranty period just in case of any possible part return/exchange service.
Check the brakes before you hit the road!!
1. Pull the brake levers (right and left) when pushing the scooter to see if the braking force is sufficient enough for a stop.
2. If you find the braking force is not enough for a safe stop, go check the bolt on the brake line by the rear tire and see if the bolt is fixed in place. You may refer to the video here to make adjustments if needed.
We sorted out some customer FAQs regarding the operation of TWIN and here below are the tutorial videos for your reference in advance.

Long-Term Battery Care
To keep your TITAN in good condition even during periods of low usage, remember this important tip:
Charge the battery at least once every 3 weeks, even if you're not riding regularly.
Leaving it uncharged for too long can cause under-voltage, which may lead to a dead battery and prevent your scooter from turning on.
