The Thunder 9 features 9×3 inch split-type pneumatic tires and mechanical disc brakes. In contrast, the Thunder 10 comes with 10×3 inch vacuum tires and hydraulic disc brakes.
The SPLACH Thunder 9 Eco is a single-motor model in the Thunder series. Unlike the Thunder 9 and Thunder 10, it is equipped with a single 800W motor and a 52V 10.4Ah battery. It features 9x3” pneumatic fat tires, mechanical disc brakes with EABS, and a button-start display without an NFC system.

This is my 45th electric scooter I’ve owned, (I just buy sell and trade a lot) and I have paid my own money for it. So I speak from plenty of experience, and have my unbiased views on this product.
Like always, I will start from top to bottom.
I really like how they didn’t go with cheap non locking grips that leave a pattern on your hand if you ride bare. They have locking grips that feel really natural and comfortable. The throttle I’ve never seen before actually, has a nice curve for your thumb, also feels very natural, and responsive. The great grips and throttle combo I cannot get enough of. Has a power button, with + and - buttons above and below to change speed modes. You get the classic headlight/turnsignals/horn buttons in one module, always like that easy access. I wish more companies still had the classic Dual/Single and Eco/Turbo buttons that light up, makes it really easy to change things up to you’re preference. The handlebars do fold down, before buying this I didn’t think they would, but it’s a nice bonus for me because I love folding handlebars. They don’t shake at all either, which is another plus. You get a center screen that shows everything you want to know. The numbers come out really clear, but not the brightest. You can see it in direct sunlight, but it is a bit hard. I encourage Splach to improve that aspect. I also wish there was some kind of usb connection to charge your phone, my EQ scooter has that, works well for long rides when you’re using GPS.
I do love the NFC card to start tho, always appreciated extra security.
Now moving onto the step, I like the feel of it, easy to put a scooter bag and water bottle holder on. I love the stem and deck lighting, really looks cool. I do think the stem could be a bit taller, or maybe add a rising clamp. I’m 5’11”, feels a bit short, but not bad. If you’re taller than me, go for their Titan model. The folding mechanism is great, easy and fast, no issues. They said there’s an air tag holder somewhere, but I can’t find it, would have enjoyed having it.
Now onto the deck and tires. The deck is silicone, which I favor over grip tape. I also like how less companies are straying away from the classic three pin charger to the side. This one has a unique charge port on top, easy to plug in and out. The rubber suspension feels very natural. Some scooters I don’t like going over bumps because of bad/no suspension, but this one I love going over them! I’m 135lbs for reference. The tires are tubeless vaccum tires, with puncture resistance. That’s great for me, always loved tubeless over tubed. Easier to change, and more resistant to flats. The hydraulic breaks work well. They’re not as good as branded Zoom hydraulics, but really are a lot better than disk cable breaks.
For the specs of a 52V 15.6AH battery, with dual 800W motors, it’s really worth the $1150 I paid for it.
I also would like to see this model with a bigger battery, for better range. The range is actually my biggest pet peave with this one, realistically I’d get 18-22 miles per charge, and that’s me riding mostly 3rd gear, single motor, 25mph.
That’s really not bad, but if I wanted to go on a long ride, I’d look into a different scooter.
Overall this POV has so many good features that feel so natural, gotta give 5 stars, would reccomend, Splach if you’re reading this, maybe add a bigger battery option, and have a riser clamp option for taller orders. Really good scooter tho.

I have had a Splach Turbo for the last 2 years. Fantastic smooth ride, great battery life and have had no problems. I wanted to upgrade and the Splach Thunder ....this model packs a punch!!. The fit and fininsh on this bike is fantastic!! The handle bar support solid when in upright position (no wiggle). I put the bike through its paces and its quite the upgrade from the Turbo. Extremely fast , huge 10" tires make for an almost motorcycle ride like experience. Highly recommend this unit for the price point there is no other competitor. From the lighting package, to the disc brakes and digital display truly a great ride!!!

The Thunder 10 scooter was well packed, arrived safely, great communication from Splatch on shipping. We have had it a few days and have gone about 20 miles. It is solidly build and has high quality components. We had a previous scooter from another company and this is very superior in every way. Even the charger is of high quality (multiple third party tested). We might just buy another one!

Fantastic Product. Came with a minor issue with the brake rotor caused by shipping, which was addressed in two business days. CS response was quick when it was during Chinese business hours, that is one thing to consider. I weigh 135# and I have already gotten 37 MPH on a flat road and around 40 MPH going downhill. Stem feels solid during high speeds, I had no issue maintaining 40 MPH. Brakes are high quality, feel roughly Nutt grade. Overall, I think the Splach Thunder 10 is the best value in the 1K-1.5K class of electric scooter for the 2024 holiday season.
